The Saddle Company is a small privately owned company designing and manufacturing saddles in Walsall, England. The concept for the company was the brainchild of directors John Fuller, a specialist in leather and synthetic materials, and David Johnson, a master saddler of 35 years standing.

David is very well known internationally for the work he has done over the years in the design and development of saddles and trees. Using the TreeTec tree, David has designed a range of saddles of superb quality at very affordable prices.

Utilising the latest technology in synthetic material development, the saddle company has produced a range of saddles incorporating a mix of leather and synthetic materials as well as an all leather range.

Serge panel linings
Serge is a natural woollen cloth which was popular 100 years ago in the saddlery industry. Today, combined with a soft woollen flocking, it is recognised for it’s wonderful softness and moulding characteristics. Other benefits of using serge include it’s ability to wick away moisture and dissipate heat on the horse?s back.

Adjustments and repairs
Saddles can have anything from a new set of girth straps to a replacement panel fitted at our workshops in Walsall.

Any future width adjustments to suit a new horse or pony can be undertaken without the limitations associated with a traditional wooden tree.
